The main purpose of building a stupa is to reduce the poisons of suffering and get rid of ignorance. Lhasray Rinpoche said if there is any medicine in the world that cures all illnesses which obstruct enlightenment, it is this one.
In the actual process of building the stupa, we experience all kinds of feelings including negative emotions and we meet all kinds of people with various intentions and attitudes. Some sincerely rejoice in our virtuous act. Some are unhappy, doubtful.
Whatever experience we encounter, we should think that this is a great opportunity for us to practice true love and compassion, to understand our own nature and remove the poisons. When the construction of the stupa is finished, the stupa in our heart will already be firmly rooted.
Don't build only the outer stupa; let's use this opportunity to build the inner stupa.
เราสร้างพระสถูปเพื่อกำจัดยาพิษแห่งความทุกข์และอวิชชา ลาเซริมโปเชบอกเราว่าถ้าจะมียาใดในโรคนี้ที่รักษาโรคภัยไข้เจ็บที่เป็นอุปสรรคต่อการตรัสรู้ธรรม ยานั้นก็คือพระสถูป
ในขณะที่เราสร้างพระสถูป ความรู้สึกต่างๆรวมทั้งอารมณ์บ่อนทำลายเกิดขึ้น เราพบผู้คนหลายประเภทที่มีเจตนาและทัศนคติต่างๆกัน บางคนมีความปีติยินดีจริงๆต่อกุศลกรรมในครั้งนี้ บางคนไม่มีความสุขหรือเกิดความสงสัยเมื่อได้ข่าวว่าเราจะสร้างพระสถูป
ไม่ว่าเราจะได้ประสบการณ์ใดก็ตาม เราควรคิดว่านี่คือโอกาสอันยิ่งใหญ่ในการฝัึกความรักอย่างไม่มีเงื่อนไขและความกรุณา ในการเข้าใจตัวตนที่แท้จริงของเรา และในการกำจัดยาพิษทั้งหลาย เมื่อการสร้างพระสถูปเสร็จสิ้น พระสถูปในใจก็ได้ลงหลักปักฐานแล้ว
ขอพวกเราอย่าได้เพียงสร้างพระสถูปแต่เพียงภายนอก ขอพวกเราใช้โอกาสในการสร้างพระสถูปนี้เพื่อสร้างพระสถูปในใจด้วยเถิด
